Silas Egedal chases the championship in his own team: Ready for a new season in Nordic 4

Silas Egedal is back in Nordic 4, and in the 2026 season he will take the next step in his motorsport career. This year he will be racing for his very own team, SE Racing, and his ambitions for the season are high from the start.

Preparations have been underway for a long time, and there is no doubt what is at the top of the agenda for the young driver from North Zealand:

“The goal for the 2026 season is to have full focus on winning the Nordic 4 championship, either in a Mygale F4 or in the new Nova,” says Silas Egedal, who starts the season in the Formula 4 car.

The winter break has not offered much rest for Silas. To be razor-sharp for the start of the season, his physical fitness has been optimised through strength training and football. At the same time, he has worked hard to gain an advantage ahead of the race weekends where the calendar offers unfamiliar terrain.

The pre-season strategy has been clear: get as much test time as possible on the tracks to be raced on. This is where simulator training has become an indispensable tool.

“As part of the preparation for races at Rudskogen Motorsenter, Kinnekulle Ring and Gelleråsen – tracks I haven’t raced at before – the simulator plays an important role,” he explains, emphasising the joy of this year’s race calendar: “I’m really looking forward to getting back to Jyllandsringen and racing on the Scandinavian tracks.”

However, having a good season requires more than just fast lap times and sweat in the simulator. It also requires a strong support base. That’s why a lot of the work leading up to the start of the season is focused on the business aspect.

Much of the preparation right now is taking place outside the cockpit, where hard work is being done to get the finances under control and secure the necessary sponsorship agreements that will carry Silas Egedal all the way to the top of the podium in this year’s Nordic 4 Championship.
