Built for durability: Aquila Formula Nova

Aquila Formula Nova is built with a focus on performance, durability and economy so that the development of Scandinavian racing drivers can continue in high gear.

When the first version of the formula car of the future is scheduled for delivery at the end of the year, it will be a lighter, faster and cheaper racing car than the alternatives. Such a sharp combination has been achieved with creative thinking rather than compromise.

The new Aquila Formula Nova will weigh over 150 kilos less than the current Formula 4 car. This means less wear and tear on the car and a more lively and agile racing car. At the same time, a smaller tyre size has been chosen as the lower weight will make it more difficult to achieve optimal temperature in a larger tyre. It is also expected that the tyre life will be longer than on current cars.

Safety is one of the places where compromise is not an option. As the first Scandinavian formula car, the Aquila Formula Nova will feature the mandatory HALO, and the car will be built to the same safety specifications as Formula 4 Generation 2 – with the exception of the spaceframe construction as opposed to the costly carbon fibre monocoque.

However, carbon fibre is also present in the new Scandinavian formula car. All bodywork is produced in carbon fibre to ensure a high quality and fit on all cars.

Like the current Formula 4 model, the Aquila Formula Nova will have a sequential gearbox with paddleshift. This feature is standard in modern formula cars and also helps keep gearbox maintenance at a low level.

Shock absorbers are supplied by Dutch company Intrax and unlike the current formula car, these will be adjustable.

Introductory price: 10% discount on the first 10 cars

Today, a second-generation Formula 4 car costs from DKK 750,000 excluding VAT. Such an investment would make the economics unattractive in the Scandinavian market, and thus the idea for Aquila Formula Nova was born.

The price for Aquila Formula Nova is set at DKK 435,000 excl. VAT, corresponding to a saving of more than 40% compared to a new Formula 4 car. a new Formula 4 car.

The first 10 cars will be sold at a 10% discount (DKK 393,000 excl. VAT) as a special introductory offer. Delivery of the first cars is expected in November/December.
