Janine Wermuth makes formal debut with RaceCraft Driver Academy

The 16-year-old racing driver is competing in the Nordic 4 Championship in her first season away from the go-kart tracks.

Her passion for motorsport came relatively late, but nonetheless, Janine Wermuth has made several great achievements in just a few years. Not least when she represented Denmark at the 2024 FIA Motorsport Games in the Karting Slalom category.

Now it’s time for Nordic 4, and together with RaceCraft Driver Academy, the driver from Odense is looking forward to building on the development she has been through:

“I’ve chosen to switch to single-seaters now because I hope I can learn as quickly as I did in karting – and potentially be even better in my next season,” says Janine Wermuth, who has already started training hard ahead of the season start in April:

“I know it will be a big challenge for me, so I’m pushing hard with physical training, mental training, reaction training and a lot of simulator driving. I try to set realistic goals for myself because there are great drivers in the field,” says Janine, who knows that all the preparation in the world can’t take the pressure off on the first race day:

“It will be hard to prepare for the pressure and nervousness when I’m getting ready for the first heat. I won’t be the only one with butterflies in my stomach, so it will be important to relax and be in it,” says Janine Wermuth.

Team Manager at RaceCraft Driver Academy, Frederik Stenå, is delighted to have the young talent in his team:

“Janine has shown talent and drive in karting in a short time, and I am proud that she has chosen to start her next chapter in motorsport with us. We will give her the best conditions to continue her development as a racing driver, and I’m looking forward to starting the collaboration in earnest,” says Frederik Stenå.

The Nordic 4 season starts at Padborg Park on the last weekend in April.
